Our Flagship Competitive Team – Men’s Premier

Highly competitive team, competing in AMSA’s top division, with very fit and technical players, mandatory practices, advanced tactics, high level of physical play and players willing to commit to conditioning outside of team practices and games.

Our premier squad is committed to offering young men the opportunity to continue their soccer career in a highly competitive environment in order to foster the further growth of technical, tactical, and mental abilities at the highest level afforded to players in the amateur ranks, in the Central Texas area. Celtic Cowboys Premier has been a member of the premier division of AMSA for over 4 years, after gaining successive promotions from Division 2, and has never finished lower than sixth place; with the majority of seasons seeing the team in contention for the division title and a finish in the top three. In addition to regular season games, our premier squad competes in AMSA’s annual FA Cup style, single-elimination tournament as well as the Texas State Cup competition which feeds into the USSSA Nationals Tournament.
Celtic Cowboys Premier also compete in local and travel tournaments when the regular season schedule permits and we are currently putting together a sponsorship plan to take the team to compete in a tournament out of state and potentially out of the country! Celtic Cowboys Premier is always seeking players who want to work hard to better all aspects of their game as well as develop a better understanding of team tactics. We strive to create and environment of excellence where a squad of highly competent and well organized players are pushed to strive for more than just the occasional moment of weekend glory!

Estimated weekly time commitment and player expectations

6 to 8 hours a week. plus regular conditioning on your own including strength training, interval and sprint training, as well as attention to proper nutrition, flexibility and post-match recovery.
